I love the Dropbox story. Shows what a group of people can do who are passionate about bringing an awesome solution to people they believe can really benefit from it. I was only there a short time in interim role, but learned much more from the relatively inexperienced team than they learned from me.
BTW, Andrew last rumored valuation I saw was $8B. I hadn't seen $10B anywhere. Did you see it somewhere recently?
Wow these are great. I love how they had the clarity to put aside traditional tactics that weren't working, and just look for something else that would work.
I love the insight that Ad Words was a way to harvest demand, not create demand. That led to their key insight about the role WOM played in creating new demand. Great insight that can be applied to other spaces.

I'm not a dropbox user, but I love their story. Their execution of WOM is nothing short of excellent. Thanks for sharing the deck!

You're welcome. It was so good, I had to share.

Good story, thanks for the share.
I'm nitpicking here, but I wish the slideshow was linked to the original poster, gueste94e4c vs. Vishal Kumar who re-posted it 3 years later.

Excellent presentation. I especially admire the simple truth of slide 28:
Hears about Dropbox > "I didn't realise I needed this" > "It actually works" > Unexpectedly happy, tell friends.
Brilliant!
