The teams at Mode Analytics, Looker, and Chartio, poured over Watsi's data on the hunt for a sustainable growth engine. What they found by digging through the numbers is amazing.

Hey @mlchiang thanks for posting our article! Hope you enjoyed it.

Hat's off to Watsi for generously opening up their data to analysts from Looker, Chartio, and Mode. And to Segment for hosting such a stellar event. Fun times!

There's a bit more detail (and a video if anyone is interested) here: http://blog.modeanalytics.com/hacker-news-not-a-growth-engine/

+1 on checking out the video. It was a really well done presentation (great job Benn) and like most really well done presentations, the slides leave out the explanation of what's actually going on.

Something that came up after the video cuts is that they put their money down on this idea and offered Watsi gift cards to everyone who hit up their booth. I'm looking forward to seeing the analysis on those.

It's amazing how you show your process of actually finding the engine. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! We wanted this to be about showing how to ask iterative questions to figure it out, so hopefully that came across. Glad you enjoyed it!
