As a B2C company, we create a lot of data. Some tools like Google Analytics (via User ID feature), MailChimp, and SendGrid provide user interaction data, while others like Facebook Insights and Twitter Activity provide only consolidated data. But, I am interested to know if there is a way to consolidate all data points (whichever available) and tie them to a unique user on my website.

At Inman we use the following:

    - Our own user db (MySQL)
    - Segment (for site event tracking)
    - Mixpanel
    - Google Analytics
    - Strongview for email
    - Stripe for payments
    - Optimizely for experiments
    - Redshift for our data warehouse

We send all our db + segment + stripe to Redshift and then query off that to get website activity, user details, and payment/plan info in one place.

Hi Morgan, Are you using Segment to power Google Analytics, Mixpanel and Optimizely? Would be interesting to see what we could later with our Platform. Bit too early to take on this challenge.

Just implemented Segment and feeding data to Mixpanel, NudgeSpot and HeapAnalytics just to trial.

We are planning on doing something similar at the moment. Was hopeful some tool out there may already be doing this.

I wrote this last year http://unified.vu/2015/02/03/understanding-the-web-analytics-market/ and plan to bring few of these apps on to our platform. Currently toying with Woopra

Those are some good insights. Thanks! Will try out Woopra too. Even if it can solve a smaller part of the problem, that will be a huge leap for us.

Still don't know the best answer to this. My best bet until now has been to build an in-house system linked to the db.

We've just added segment.io and connected few services such as Mixpanel, NudgeSpot and Heap Analytics to experiment. I reckon we would need to have a Segment App on http://unified.vu platform. Once we have this, it can then unify with most of the other apps we have, e.g. Mailchimp, Zendesk, Xero plus CRMs such as CapsuleCRM, Sugar, Salesforce and Pipedrive. All in one intuitive User Interface. Finally, Mixpanel and other analytics Apps to display their unique features.

Let me know if you find any of this interesting?

I want to solve this problem once and all - without replicating what the existing products do so well, but bring them all into one place allowing you to make the right decision first time.
