I'm working with a small mental health app that wants to boost reach with an influencer strategy, but I'm not familiar with their niche. Using BuzzStream and Moz to qualify reach and page authority. I'm burning a lot of time on the hunt.

I might reword this to... "what are some ideas to test for creating a 100+ email list of influencers in an unfamiliar niche?" In my experience growth hacking is about testing several ideas against an objective rather than a single silver bullet hack. But it is a really good start to narrow down a specific objective of building an email list of 100+ influencers in your niche. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Sean. Great point about the wording, semantics is clearly important in marketing.

That specific objective is getting 15,000 new downloads in 2 weeks. New to the mental health niche, I am starting from scratch. Currently using Buzzstream, BuzzSumo and Hunter.io to cold email. Within that, I'm testing various offers (paid, affiliate, guest post) to get influencers to respond.

Any ideas for a better test?

Take a 14 day trial of BlueNod and see who are the guys for your niche, then find their blogs and put them in feedly. Each day start commenting reading a few of these. Subscribe to their blogs to get the email address (Use a seperate @hotmail account to the one you work with) then when you have enough credibitliy with them you might reach out, but not before.
