The ones that have always gotten me consistent results are reddit, Quora and StumbleUpon but more recently I've started using Google+ Communities as well. Are there any channels or communities that should be held in the same regard that you use? If so, can you give examples of the results you've gotten?

Pinterest: In my opinion, it is a very under-used platform for products/services targeted toward females of all demographics, specifically mothers. Anytime a mother is either the influencer, buyer, and/or user, there is a great chance that they will do a search for a solution for pain-point and their search results will have a Pinterest post somewhere in the first or second search results page.

I have a client that manufacturers homemade baby food equipment and she has a huge following on Facebook and Instagram. I took a look at her referrals on Google Analytics and the second-most referrals to her e-commerce website were from Pinterest and she rarely updated her board. We began leveraging that source of traffic and started posting new and existing content to her board and it continues to be a consistent source of traffic.

Justin, what was the difference in traffic after you started being proactive on Pinterest?

We saw an increase of new users to the website (2.5%) and new sessions to the website (5.0%) - every time we posted a new "pin" we'd see a spike in traffic because Pinterest users would get notified. Despite my client not updating her board recently we continue to see consistent traffic from Pinterest, but it won't grow without being active on the network.

A channel I'm enjoying is Product Hunt. And no, I'm not referring to launching new products because that's a one-off (albeit very effective) sugar hit. I'm talking about the new ASK function - https://www.producthunt.com/ask. When asking question, you can get recommendations if you're looking for a solution, validate products you're considering or see what other people are using. But you can also answer questions and, if your answers are useful, people tend to check you out. It's like a very targeted, simpler, version of Quora. I've been using it quite a bit.
