I am in process of taking my 20+ years of experience as a marketer & creative professional and writing, producing, & building my content platform. I am great at promoting my clients but absolutely suck when it comes to promoting myself, can anyone help me?

    I suggest launching the blog and correcting course as time goes on. The best way to build your list is with a launch of some sorts. You have over 20 years of experience in the multiple fields, with the promotion of other people. Sit down and assess who you are trying to reach IDEALLY. I'm talking about your ideal customer write down a list in specific detail on who they are and target all of your content in that direction. Details should be:
    Name, Age, profession, kids, wife, husband, car, dream car, dream business/career, problems, etc.
    ESPECIALLY focus on the problems they face and think about how you can fix them and get them that car, business, career, or whatever!
    Once you have that complete it is time to start blogging.

    First I think you have to start looking at yourself as any of your clients
    Secondly, you focus on developing an adequate platform which can help you publish/share any information/data without having any difficulty.
    Finally, you offer great content/services/feed backs/support... to any single person who likes your work.

    It's surprising how many marketers have this issue. What you need to do is change your view. In my mind when I'm working on my business marketing, or one of my personal ventures I force myself to see the "project" as a client. I put it on the board just like everyone else. We all have our marketing default processes we turn to when it comes to marketing our clients. Apply those same processes here.
