If you need automated tweets, quuu.com is a great tool. They handcraft content and allow you to choose categories of which you need automated tweets for. Once selected, you can integrate with a tool like Buffer and all your scheduling is taken care of.

    Hope this helps.

To piggyback on the many awesome answers already given, Twitter over last few years has really put in an effort to limit (and even suspend/disable) developer accounts that execute this type of functionality. It's against their terms (i.e. automatic likes, favourites, and retweets). I forget the name of the company a couple years back, but essentially their software would favourite tweets related to keywords you specified - in order to grow growth (more followers, etc.) - without leaving a large footprint on your profile. It spawned a several more SaaS products. Twitter axed them all.

That said, I wouldn't consider that a "growth hack" and I wouldn't include that in my marketing arsenal, personally. It's too inconsistent and people will pick up that you're using some sort of automation. Or even worse, that you're a bot. More or less, lazy marketing never wins.

Intresting thought Mike, but if you are a socialmediamarketing agency and your client ask's from you to grow his twitter follower's what different option do you have instead of an automation tool?

I'd apply the same boot shine and do it manually. Create a genuine connection and target a tighter demographic, more suitable to my business. When I used a like-minded service, I found the results super inconsistent, people would respond with "??" all the time (as the automatic like/favorite would be on something that was a genuine conversation, that was totally not relatable to me), and the followers I received were nothing but a number. Total worthless and very un-targeted. But it might work for you and achieve what you're trying to do. Doesn't hurt to try :)

One thing I would like to add to this, fairly new to the scene, but what I am noticing as I dive into twitter is that there are a TONNE of bots!

So, it would seem that what many of the bots do is... follow other bots. SO you have bots speaking to bots. But this does create the illusion of social proof.

Who are you more likely to listen to? Someone with 1,000 followers or someone with 10?

Social Proof MATTERS, but I would not consider it a long-term strategy (never!) but it does get a good base line started.

That being said, i've been active on my own account without any automation and than created a 2nd using a bot. So far... my own account is much healthier. But, it's also a lot of work.

Suggestions on how to better manage a manual twitter account?

    I like Narrow.io

Interesting, Narrow.io is pretty much an exact clone of the service I mentioned in my comment. They all come and go. I wonder how Narrow is avoiding the "Breach of terms" executioner. I must now sign up and explore/use lol. Appears to be exactly what the OP is looking for.

    I have tried:
Tweetfavy – decent, fairly straightforward with no frills
Crowdfire - Good for identifying non-followers but not really automation (they allow you to automate DMs)
IFTTT - Alright for content posting and automated DMs, but requires careful curation
Socedo - Great solution for automated follows & DMs but much more expensive than other options.

I will definitely check out Social Quant and Narrow.io! Thanks folks

Ty for the comment Brad. I have used all this tools and i found the best as paid solution Narrow.io and as free tool crowdfire. I haven't used sosialquant because it ask's the password of your twitter, if you are going to use it tell us please your thought's.

Just wanted to highlight a slightly older discussion on a similar topic.
Some of the tools may or may not do what you want but its still a great read: https://growthhackers.com/questions/ask-gh-do-you-user-twitter-automation-software-to-follow-unfollow-users/

Ty for the share Anuj, i see in these post twitfox.com & tweetfull.com. I have used both and i have to say that i am not so satisfied. About the first it doesn't like's and retweet's a big amount of tweet's, however the second does a big amount of like's & retweet's, the tweet's and retweet's that it does, are not in my interest's that i typed in the form that the tool ask's. I have used also narrwo.io and i think that is better, but i am looking also something similar like this or a better one.

I've tried Soccedo and it worked well for lead generation but the automation options were limited. The enterprise option may or may not allow you to customise their set up.

www.socialquant.net from @Michael Kawula - I have heard great things about from numerous users. (NB: No affiliation and I haven't used) but it's the first I'd look at.

I would add understanding the culture and identity of your Target Audience is crucial. Having used Narrow, Socedo, and Social Quant, having a large number of targeted followers and leads do not add up to much if you are completely missing the culture of your Target Audience, and how to engage with them.

Hello Alexander, i agree with you that's why the automation tools ask's you some specific keywords which should be similar with the audience you prefer to engange. So the tool automate tweet, retweet & follow people with similar keywords that you have choose.
