I think the way you ask is already problematic. You don't "create backlinks" - that's what spammers do by posting meaningless comments to "create a backlink".

The right question is how to to earn links or even better how to encourage people to create inbound links to your site. In particular: how to make

    website owners

to link to your site voluntarily.

You need to offer something worth linking to - a so called linkable assets or even better link magnets as @backlinko calls them. It does not have to be a definitive guide like the ones Brian Dean offers himself.

You can also create some very specific, like an answer to an often asked question on forums that you respond to better than anyone else, like with adding data, actionable advice or a DIY tutorial (or all three of them).

Quoting experts, offering freebies or organizing real life events also helps.

I agree on the point of earning the backlinks rather than creating ones. But, the B2B industry is quiet special when it comes to this. Earning backlinks from tech websites becomes quite difficult with "relevancy" being the major hindrance.

For instance, a B2B industry with a niche market like low code and no code development platforms, there are very few websites which discuss about these and those which talk about these are top websites who doesn't want to link back. So eventually, the problem starts here.

Though, we create an absolutely perfect and linkable asset, earning link back from these few websites in niche market has become a concern.

So, this is the major reason behind by question here.

For me, I come from the school of thought that your content and take at least one step outside your niche for Ranking's sake. For instance you might sell a gel for men's beards, but you can always make a video on the topic of "how to grow an awesome beard.".

I can almost guarantee there's a higher demand for "how to grow a beard" than for beard gel. But by helping others grow a beard, they can become potential customers, and they'll come to you for beard gel because they'll associate you as a leader in the topic.

It's the same for backlinking. Creating linkable content can be made easier if you take one step outside your niche and find a creative away to connect readers/visitors to your product or service. You'll get more traffic, more backlinks, and more customers.

It's all about becoming the voice of your Industry as a whole.

A topic like SEO is also B2B and it's no problem. The fewer existing websites - aka competition - there is in your niche the better. You can be the first person to create go to content and other link magnets. There will always be questions on forums, on Quora etc.

The Short Answer: Content Marketing - create and promote insightful and compelling content usually via a blog.

When you're a smaller website a good tip I can give you is to write curated posts. For example, let's say you're a fitness coach. You could write about the best fitness websites and link to them. Then reach out to each of those websites letting them know you included them on your list. I've done this a number of times and they are at least usually willing to share it on their social media profiles and in some cases they'll link to your article form their websites. Some websites keep a list of press mentions.

By writing this article you are also creating a useful resource for your readers and potentially other online influencers will share and link to it.

In 2018 and on you should be really thinking about link earning rather than building. Google started cracking down on link building tactics back in 2012 and technically earlier than that.

    Best of luck!

Earning backlinks are always a tough task and B2B makes it even harder. The only way I can see is the content and social media marketing. Have a internal blogging strategy and calendar in place and start promoting blog posts on social media. The catch here is to generate great quality content. It all depends on the demand of the content. Whatever you are writing and promoting there must be some demand for that content. Ubersuggest, Buzzsumo, Google Alerts are few tools which can help in finding the great keywords and topics to start with.

The prime factor for getting the backlink for the website is to create high-quality content.

Besides that, there are different no. of ways to create backlinks, which are added below:

    Social Bookmark Submission
    Profile link submission
    Q & A
    Forum submission
    Business Listing
    Use Infographics images
    Guest Posting
    Press releases
    Link Baiting
    Blog submission
    Article submission
    Directory Submission
    Pod casting
    Leverage social Networking site
    and many more...

    Bonus tip:

-Create niche specific tutorials, which are not only unique but help the community. Such tutorial articles get lots of backlinks.

-Create viral YouTube videos and include links to your blog in the video and its description.

-Update your blog regularly because this will make more people trust your website and it will also make you rank for more keywords which mean more traffic and eventually more backlinks.

-Run surveys on your blog and publish the results for everybody to see, if the survey is good and helpful you will definitely get a lot of backlinks to your blog.

-Have a special writing style that attracts people.

-Run a contest giving people physical products for free, make linking to your blog a requirement to join.

-Write 101 posts, they tend to get more social and natural link love.

-I hope all these points help you:)

Note: Create high-quality backlink only from relevant niche and highly authoritative sites. (Check the PA and DA for the site, which you are going to link back to your site)
