As of Feb 17, 2014:

22 Tweets
14.4K followers (and this account is following no one).
Among the followers are the likes of, Dave McClure, Mitch Kapor, Peter Shankman etc.

There are so many questions:

Who is this person?
How did this person accomplish getting so much attention is so little time?
What made "big names" follow this account?

One thing is clear though, content that captures people's attention doesn't need to be big or complicated to be able to delight them (enough to talk about it to their networks).

      I have been wondering... do you have like a secret stash of articles somewhere? :D

        @Violeta: Hah! no I don't.:)

        I dedicate some time everyday towards research on a variety of topics for my (soon to be launched) startup and come across nuggets like these.

        If it feels like I have a stash somewhere, perhaps that says something about how much quality content there is & also about the people putting it out (despite the bar being constantly raised for what is considered "quality").

    Reminds me of what Hipmunk did back in the day with the Facebook profile images:

    That's pretty cool.

    One potential takeaway: showing personal touch when people least expect it is extremely valuable (and easy to understand); no viral loops or hacks there, just giving people something personal.

    When you tweet something, you definitely don't expect a random person two illustrate your words and then share to their followers.

    I like the account, and an interesting take on content.

    I've seen people do images of tweets before but this is AWESOME. Thanks for sharing.

    Yeah, I think the key here is the fun element and the value. The unexpected definitely draws attention and the opportunity to get such a nice "treat" is enough to follow someone.
