As you can tell from the article, I definitely recommend long-life-login.
Are you finding that you get logged out of both desktop and mobile? I've had challenges with mobile in the past, but generally stay logged in on desktop.
ditto. On mobile I have to re-login. On Desktop I am usually logged in
I am logged out of desktop every time I land up here. It's not really as hassle because passwords are saved, but there's friction nonetheless.

A couple of ideas on my wishlist:
- More hooks to come back. The weekly email is great, but I'd rather have some additional email settings that remind me to come back more frequently. Like if I want an email when a post is trending in a category I follow, or a person I follow submits a new post, etc. I would like to know about it.
- Easier commenting. Comments are really buried in this design. It'd be great if top comments appeared within the post page. I think it would spur more of them.
- Better networking. It'd be great if there was an easier way to connect and network with folks in the GH community. This could be a private Facebook group or something, but it would be fun to be able to chat with one another outside the confines of a post or discussion thread.

I was actually talking to someone else about the comments, or the lack of them, in the Growthhacker posts and it IS troubling.
I instinctively gravitate to posts with comments because I want to see what others are talking about the post. Lack of comments, despite higher number of upvotes make me feel like the content isn't good enough.
For instance, I scrolled through multiple one with higher upvotes to land on this one.
I think there should be a way to optimize the design so that more commenting is encouraged.
Just to clarify the email hooks - did you mean something like the daily digest we used to have that included the kinds of things you mentioned or just more granular notification management in general?
I think giving people the option of getting more or fewer notifications would be ideal. For instance, I can go 4 or 5 days without visiting the site, but that's because I'm busy and don't think to come back. But if I had a hook, I'd come back more frequently. For instance, the browser push notifications remind me to click through, and I like the Twitter CTA to get reminded for AMAs, etc.
Mobile app, please :)

If there is a mobile app you can get notifications for AMA's or when your questions has been answered.
My biggest challenge using GrowthHacker is getting back on GrowthHackers, Whenever I'm here I don't leave the website until I learn something new but I didn't build that habit yet to come back to the website at least once a day and get something out of it, the same as I do on Product Hunt for example, I think a mobile app will keep me in the loop with updates, notifications for trending posts, ect..
Offer a free review of members websites via a panel of experts to give free tips on easy to implement tactics to help your growth hacking. There are so many topics, tips out there... too many to follow and difficult to ID which is best for me. Evan @VisipleVC
Thanks for the suggestion Evan. One way you can do this now is to post questions in Q&A. Example questions might be:
- My website address is _____ . What are some test ideas you would run to improve the signup rate.
- I'm thinking of implementing a growth team. What are the first 3 hires I should consider.
- Here is what my competitive landscape looks like... Is a freemium model something I should consider.
- My business provides X service for Y customers. What do you think are the top 5 channels that I should consider testing?
- I'm having trouble getting internal resources to focus on activation. We are organized this way and have X overall people in the company. What suggestions to you have for helping get resources to focus on optimizing activation?
These are just some examples of the types of questions you could ask. If you are worried about exposing company secrets, you can ask the questions anonymously. People will often answer the questions directly (myself included) and/or will point you toward useful articles that help answer the questions.

That explanation of the intent of the Q&A feature is helpful. To quell concerns about revealing client strategies or one's n00b status, perhaps an anonymizer is needed to mask the identity of askers.
Testing a more structured approach to presenting the growth ideas -- whether they are just ideas, in an article, or in an AMA -- might also be worthwhile. One of the best things about this site is that it exponentially adds to your tactical growth knowledge base. One of the worst things about this site is that those ideas are free range! The "buckets" in Projects begin this analysis, and even that basic categorization is helpful.
We've had discussions on the ability for members to create groups based on common interests/needs to help each other out. Would something like that be as/more useful or is there something specific about the expert panel reviews that you think would be more beneficial?
I think it would be worth looking into the system at awwwards.com's expert panel reviews. They have specific categories that each expert rates and then it averages the scores to give an overall rating of the website, just change the design categories to "growth categories" that the experts could critique on and allow comments from the community to give valuable input as well or just a simple heart button (separate from the upvote button).
Side Idea: Maybe even including different submissions in the future such as "case study submissions" where community members of GH could submit their projects or business and get a critique from experts on how they're doing so far and what growth channels are being overlooked in their toolkit.
I'm not a huge fan of groups on platforms other than facebook because of how poorly they're managed and the low engagement they have after 2 or 3 weeks with the occasional post every week or so. It just clutters with all the other communities that we're all apart of.

One thing could be to facilitate growth experts coming together in the GH community to agree to collaborate on value-add growth content directly created by the community and not a third party.
This could create new synergies, new great content, and a new level of GH community engagement.

Have you seen any examples of this being done elsewhere that you could point us to?
That's how many breakthrough in health and other industry happen - when experts come together to bring depth of thinking to a topic and spur innovation.
Could this apply to growth?
Not sure it's been done before in growth but I could make time to research further.

I would like to see the experience of this site be more, well, fun! Y'all are the most energetic, dynamic, and smart peeps in the biz world, and this virtual world just isn't right. Aesthetics is a part of it, surely, but interactivity (beyond reading, commenting, QA, and AMA) can be so much more. What if we could downvote articles but had to give a reason for doing so? What if we had growth hacking case studies where everyone submits
their plan and hypothesis and then we find out what really happened? Choose-your-own-adventure growth hacking? GH playlist build? ;)
I don't know exactly what it is, but I feel like there's opportunity to make in-app notifications more engaging...i think there's more you could do to show real-time updates with the bell icon drop-down as well as in-app messages for when articles/posts start trending or people i follow/like do stuff that's interesting...right now those delicious moments are buried or nonexistent.

On GH Projects, one thing I think could be helpful would be to provide additional tools to encourage more of the internal team members, outside of the Growth team, to adopt GH Projects. Ideally, I’d love to have the entire team, not only the Growth team, using it.

In 2017, what about more personalized browser push notification,for example, when I have a notification item, when someone I follow posted a post etc.
Projects: in the mobile web version i really miss the comment section for idea cards.
Pull Conversion curve from lets say GA for the metric im optimizing for and plot out my successful experiments on that curve. Winning an experiment is great but its the gains over time that is juicy.
I also wish for more ways to sort/filter the idea cards and a section for notifications for my user would be great to.
Hi Joni - Thanks for sharing your ideas about Projects! All three of the features you mentioned are on our product roadmap. As far as pulling conversion data into Projects, are there any other systems besides GA that you'd want to pull from?

I would love to have the possibility to connect to people who are on a similar point of the journey as I am.
Means I am most interested in content and connections geared towards:
a) SMB ecommerce stores (small team, low budget)
b) Newly founded start-ups (pre-product phase)
Don't really know how that could be done though. Maybe through the group functionality discussed earlier?
