I'm doing 30 days of experiments based on posts from GH. What are some of the top posts I should try out?
So is does every experiment last 30 days, or is it 1 day (30 experiments in 30 days)? I recommend you start by reading up on research methodologies and statistics ;) Your experiments will mean nothing if done wrong
30 Days of experiments. Hopefully starting first post tomorrow. We've been preparing over the last week.
Here's the post about some of the preparation we've done so far.
"we’ll be sharing a growth hacking experiment daily for the next 30 days." - says the post.
so 1 experiment per day? How many during the 30 days?
Any experiment lasting less than a business cycle (better 2 for improved validity) means nothing at all.
@peeplaja totally agree. Of course you'll need significant data for the tests to be valuable. So we'll launch the experiments, iterate and as we get the info I'll update the community.
Initially we're looking at filling the funnel, so we can execute on a number of those experiments simultaneously.
Once we get deeper into the funnel, we can do things like landing page optimization, but we could also run an email capture test at the same time.
Thanks for the feedback though. Really helpful to think about!
Wow, what a great idea. How about trying posts with photos vs no photos vs videos? Can't wait to see the final write up.
awesome - thanks for this one. I'll give it a go!
B2C email marketing is one of the expense efficient medium of sending advertisement emails and latest items in the hands of present and new customers. Actually, email marketing can just save your money that would have been spent on postage, the design of direct mail and printing. However, B2C email marketing must be done appropriately to ensure its efficiency and professionalism. - See more at: http://www.seomaza.com/b2c-email-marketing-tips-and-improve-your-skill/
RE: landing pages: I would test a lead gen landing page with a regular form vs. a two-step opt-in form. They always seem to yield interesting results.
Auto-focused form fields on lead gen pages are also a great element to test on your page.
You're probably not testing a limited-time offer on your landing page, but if you happen to be you should test the use of a countdown timer. They're a great way to increase urgency on a page.
Thanks Cara - right now we're focused on filling the funnel, so no landing page optimization just yet!
That is a very interesting (and smart) idea. It's hard to identify posts directly leading to test at this moment.
But I would try go to All tags, and click a tag that is relevant to your testing plan, and then change the tab to must read, and pick the posts that offer practical ideas.
For example, under the tag "Blogging", if you switch to "Must Read", it seem there are many practical ideas.
very well said about landing pages. Landing pages are so worthy now a days if you properly optimize it..
