GH, We're launching a podcast in March. It's for SaaS marketers sick of marketing BS. Instead of using shady, aggressive, "salesly" tactics to sell, they want to grow by helping people. We've interviewed 14 people so far (including DHH from Basecamp or David Darmanin from Hotjar). We've organised a contest to celebrate the launch (https://podcast.slicesconsulting.com). So far, we've promoted it on a few Facebook Groups and Slack Communities. How do you think we should keep promoting? I'm running out of ideas. Merci :) Louis

    Hi Louis,

Here are a few ideas I thought of:

    1. Make sure your interviewees are promoting the shows that they are featured on.

    2. Use your pixel traffic and email addresses to create lookalikes and run advertising; mobile advertising will keep costs down.

    3. Run a smaller contest on different social media channels and request that each submission requires a share/tag of another professional. I've seen this tactic bring in a lot of engagement.

I'll add more if I think of it. Good luck!

      Thanks Justin!

"3. Run a smaller contest on different social media channels and request that each submission requires a share/tag of another professional. I've seen this tactic bring in a lot of engagement."

That sounds really good - can you give me more details or some real examples?

A client of mine has a huge following on Instagram. Once a week, she will offer a large gift certificate to any of her followers that like and share her Instagram post. So, not only does she get a lot of engagement on her posts, she will have the post shared with a lot of people that might not already be following her. Last week she had over 800 comments on her one post!
Your $3550+ contest is pretty awesome (I'll take the prize if you want), but that isn't something you should give away every week. Instead, do just one little thing like a free 30-minute consultation; have a separate contest for Facebook and Twitter.

One thing that Noah Kagan did was asking his followers what ways they would use to promote his new podcast.

And among the commenters, he would give away prizes.

These prizes were free accounts of SaaS tools and physical products he likes to use.

This was a win-win for the brands and Noah himself. Brands would get exposure through Noah's audience.

Noah would have items to give away and his audience would not only give him ideas about how they would promote his new show. They would actually promote it and tell him about it.

Create an epic Facebook Group that includes the interviews as content. For example, I would combine this Facebook Group's promotion strategy for podcasts: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BreakingIntoStartups/

With this Facebook Group's content for marketers: https://www.facebook.com/groups/growthmarketers/
