As we know that people use voice search: more than 50% - while driving, another activity - a little more than 20% and so on. So as a business or marketing purpose how voice search will affect the SEO in 2018?

    If we have well-optimized featured snippets then voice-search will not affect SEO of site. SO we need to focus on featured snippets because voice search result most probably derived from the featured snippets.

    voice search optimization has definitely had connections with Google’s featured snippets. In other words if voice search isn’t already on your agenda, it’s time to change your SEO strategies.

      I agree to a certain extend on this. Probably the majority of searches that we'll start seeing on voice search will have the intent of a question and will be less transactional in percentage then what you will see from other devices. That will for some companies just not make it interesting enough to invest in this area at the moment.

      Mix that up with basically 0 insights that we have now in the number of searches performed through voice search and it becomes a total grey work field that nobody is able to say something useful about in terms of the ROI of the channel/platform. That is going to become more important for most companies while making decisions on this for their strategy as they can't show any business metrics for the channel.

    Write more long-form content that answers a lot of long tail keyword searches and optimize your content for featured snippets.
