Just like @hasanphd mentioned track the ad performance on a daily basis and adapt. However, when I was working on my mobile app we also led traffic to media coverages (TechCrunch, CNET...) and directly to our landing page, I don't if you have already tried these.

We measure ad performance on daily basis. Most important to measure is Relevance score. Which directly comes from Content vs User matching. The better the score the better the ROI.

      Thanks for reply Hassan.

Further questions come to my mind. After you create a new campaign or ad, how long do you wait to get relevance score? You know, 3 days results and one week results could be different.

Second, in which score you decide to renew an ad? Our average is around 6. I take action after it goes below 4.

We sometimes keep going with score of 3 as well. Depends on how other metrics are performing. Its better if you can review performance daily and take actions promptly. Relevance scores are usually available within few hours. Whatever score has been first time gotten will remain around that with variance of +-1.
