I've been approached by a profitable e-commerce company to propose a Growth Plan for Q4. They are open to anything that will either expose them to larger global audiences and increase sales. What are some "creative packages" that I can offer them as line-items that are proven to move the needle besides SEO/SEM and Inbound? How do you price your services? and is it based on hitting specific metrics? thanks

    I'd be more interested in hearing how individuals (freelancers / consultants) sell their services, because I haven't figured it out. That being said coming from the agency side we saw success with packaging them as an audit (or heuristic analysis). For instance we'd analyze your site through the use of web and behavioral analytics and the result was a 5 out of 10,and a list of recommendations to get you to a 10 out of 10. Although this can be seen as somewhat subjective I've found having something physical to provide the client (in the form of a PDF is beneficial) from there we'd just work out a 90-day contract were we would test some of our best optimization recommendations in hopes of getting a long term contract. Since clients rarely asked for CRO (or even knew what it was) this was an add on to an existing SEO / SEM package. Due to the nature of experimentation I'd be hesitant to do a % of business growth payment model unless I had to, or you could end up doing a lot of work for nothing.
