How come I have never come across a SaaS pricing strategy which had an increasing monthly fee over the first few months and which then levelled out. (e.g. Mth1 = Free, Mth2 = €9, Mth3 = €19, Mth4 to Mth(n) = €29.

Wouldn't that allow a user to commit to using the system bit by bit as they get more and more out of the product? A little bit like a one month free trial but it just makes the initial jump from free to paying slightly less of a commitment.

Is there a name for this approach?
