Really depends on what you call a "bot". Most bots can be split into 3 categories: flows, AI, hybrid.

If you are looking to build an AI bot, I would advise you to look for a company that will help you. It is currently extremely hard to do any "DIY AI" if you have no prior knowledge (and at least a foundation of a platform to support it).

If you are looking to build a flow-driven chatbot (asks question, offers button answers, user clicks the button, next action, etc. Very user action driven), you can use ubisend for free and test it. Our platform is still accessible, although a tad more hidden atm, right here https://go.ubisend.com/signup - hope this link is ok with the admins, feel free to remove obviously.

There you can create your subscribe lists, optin keywords, and flow of messages with buttons and surveys, all that jazz. It should be fairly straight forward, if not feel free to ping me.

If you are looking to build a hybrid (half AI, half flow), again I would advise you look for professional help. It is currently, in my opinion, the best way to build chatbots but it is not easy and requires prior knowledge.

    Hope that helps!
