We are a B2B SaaS firm and thinking of exploring Quora as an advertising opportunity for lead generation. What was your experience?

    Yes. They really didn't work.

Yes, wasn't very happy. I used a small budget < $1,000 but didn't see as much return. Reddit and Linkedin were much better. I assume that Quora is simply too broad of a user group.

We've used Quora ads at interviewing.io and have been very pleased with the results.

Although conversion rates have been similar to other social media channels, leads have been of very high quality and therefore overall better ROI in comparison. From a branding perspective, Quora's content is considered high-end, which is aligned with our brand. The only downsides I see are relatively low content availability (compared to Facebook) and tools development (e.g. bulk editing).

Considering Quora is just getting started, I'm very optimistic about the future of the advertising platform.

We started using Quora ads a few months ago, and I must say the results are far from spectacular. We did manage to get over three hundred trials within two months and a half, but not even one of them converted to a paid customer. The quality of traffic was also really low even though we tested different targeting options. Still, we believe we can work our way around this and will continue to try to bring in some the users that are more of our potential target audience.
