    I've implemented it for SaaS businesses. It may be a little different for your business. For us, premium content (guides, reports, etc.) is our top lead-driver. We usually focus gating extremely actionable content and data behind landing pages. A good idea is to start with something very high level, valuable, and long. Something that's a go-to resource like a 101 ebook.

    Your success in this field is going to be entirely dependent on your ability to devise a comprehensive digital marketing strategy and execute on it flawlessly. Be warned devising a content marketing strategy is lot more involved than just knocking up a quick e-book and some blog posts. If you want a quick route to failure thats the one. if you want the route to success you need to think SMART!

    When thinking about implementing digital media for your business it's important to understand that there might not be a direct correlation between increased sales and a strong digital reach. Building a successful digital presence means building relationships with the public and developing trust between your brand and potential consumers. As nice as it would be to throw up some blog posts and see those converting into sales leads, it's unlikely that will happen (at least for a while).

    I believe that it would ultimately be very successful for your eCommerce business to maintain a digital presence, but it may help more with providing current leads a reason to move forward with you, as opposed to generating completely new ones.
