Ask GH: What's the best remarketing company you've worked with?
We use AdRoll for both FB & Display and it works decently. Haven't tried others yet.
I can't speak to Facebook. On Google, we get excellent results with remarketing to similar users (better than current remarketing efforts). In particular, the more granular you can get with the remarketing for similar users the better. We are just getting started with it, but are targeting both of these similar users: All visitors, All converters.
As you can imagine, targeting similar users of converters is vastly outperforming visitors. That being said, both are doing very well for us.
If you want to use remarketing for abandoned shopping carts, I'd like to suggest Carts.Guru.
What's good about Carts Guru is that they offer not only unlimited Email Remarketing, but also a complete Retargeting solution through Text Messages, Automated Calls, Facebook and Instagram.
It offers a 14-day trial for you to give it a try.
*Discloser: I've joined the Carts Guru team a month ago.
I use a combination of AdRoll and Perfect Audience. I see the mark up that both have on FBX to be quite similar. Really depends on your campaign goals.
I really like Perfect Audience for Facebook retargeting. Their News Feed retargeting is pretty amazing.
I haven't found a ton of success w/Google retargeting, but I haven't optimized it effectively, so your mileage may vary.
Yes, others work the same way. You might also want to try look-a-like remarketing to target a broader group. I spoke to someone yesterday who said he is getting a better ROI from look-a-like remarketing than from regular remarketing.
Personally, I have only used AdRoll and the results are good plus the support is really exceptional in my experience. Performance on FBX is pretty strong.
We use AdRoll for both Facebook and display; I'm generally pleased with the results, although longer-term campaigns definitely need very regular content refreshes depending on the size of the segment you're targeting.
We're also about to start a trial with RocketFuel and would love to hear about anyone's experience with them.
I should probably ask all of you that answered the question about remarketing - are you at a B2B company or a B2C company and if you've been to both, was there a difference?
Has anybody tried Retargeter yet?
