Our Company has a mobile application that requires a User registration after downloading. This application allows Users to interact with SMBs and we ask for First Name, Last Name, Phone number etc. We are trying to benchmark the succesful completions of the signup post download and was wondering if anyone has any metrics they could share on a reasonable conversion rate.

    I actually have a question for you.
    Why does user registration have to happen after download?
    Why can it now happen down the road when a certain transaction or interaction needs to happen and absolutely needs this information to be provided to be able to proceed?

      Hey Anuj,

      It's an interesting idea and something we have been toying with. Let the User get access to play with the app but not actually "engage or interact" until after registering. We are debating it.

    I agree with Anuj. For one mobile app the percentage of users registering after installing was 8%. The change was made to allow guest play and full registration on first purchase. Early results show 92% of users who installed the app registered or played as a guest!
