Ask GH: How many members are there on GrowthHackers.com?
I'm writing an article on the top upvote sites on covering marketing. Does anyone know how many members there are of growthhackers.com? I was hoping to include a visual. Thanks for the help!
Our current MAU is 150k.
Impressive! Thanks Sean.

Awesome, thanks for the context. I'll look out for the post. Very helpful. It's cool seeing GrowthHackers.com using principles discussed on the site and that you're giving back by sharing your lessons: https://growthhackers.com/slides/from-user-zero-lessons-in-growing-startups-from-scratch/
Two follow-up questions:
1. It looks like based on the wayback machine that the site was launched in 2013? That look right?
2. Also, are you measuring monthly active users as monthly unique visitors to the website or unique visitors who are logged into the site? How many total people have signed up as members?
Yes, launched publicly Oct 2013. MAU is monthly unique visitors to the site. We haven't shared details around logged in visitors or accounts created. Keeping that private for now.
Sean, got it. I appreciate the clarification and the data on visitors. I'm looking forward to becoming more active on GH. Thanks for the great service!
@sean Thanks again for the help. Here's a link to the live post. GrowthHackers gets a shout out. http://blog.raventools.com/the-top-4-marketing-upvote-websites/
Sean, how are you defining MAU?
Unique users on the website in the last 30 days (filtering out all bot traffic)
Are those net new, or something like uniques who visited in March who came back in April, etc?
I would assume it's the the net sum of old and new uniques for the month. I doubt the industry is so big to have 150K new signups every month.
Right @anand on how we calculate.
