Anyone have any proven internal linking strategies to help blog posts or internal pages rank for target keywords?
Mostly what happens is that your domain page or the root page i.e (yoursite.com) carries more page authority/page rank compared to your other pages. So what I will suggest you is to link from your home page to your internal page once & see.
What this will do is that it will distribute page rank across your internal page. So this should logically work & it worked for me too.
Other strategies that you can use is, improving your on-page SEO for your internal pages. Like including keywords in title, description, header tags, keyword density to be around 1-2%, alt tags for images, Proper structured page, using schema, etc.
Let me know if that works.
Thanks & Regards,
Yes, use in-content link with the anchor text being very close to or your exact keyword. You can do this on blog posts, your about page, other service pages, etc.
Thank you :)
