Are AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) good for shopping/ecommerce sites?
Hey i wanted to know whether AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) is good for shopping/ecommerce sites? and is there any shopping site who is using AMP currently.
Oh yes it is. Since ecommerce mostly takes place through mobile, AMP is certainly going to be a big factor in your ranking in search results. Since AMP is totally based on optimum user experience, a better AMP means your site is more user experience and hence a positive effect on SEO.
Ebay is one of the latest entrants in the world of AMP and the number is only going to increase.

Thanks Man :)
i implemented it ( on https://www.mamaguru.co.il/) and it works like magic.
here are a few tips:
make sure you tag (schema) your products correctly
verify using Google webmaster console
verify your Google Analytics collect data from AMP pages - you'll need to use tag manager
(or AMP analytics plugin for wordpress)
From an user standpoint, it's certainly terrific, at least on paper: fast-loading pages, hence, a less bumpy purchase process.
But what about the marketer's standpoint? As far as I'm concerned, AMP means no scripts, thus no tagging for user on-page behavior analysis or retargeting, for example.
What do you guys think?
They are extremely useful for B2C and news websites
