ROLE: This is a new role to Sofar, as we look to build our new Audience Development Team to expand user activation, engagement, and retention across multiple platforms. This role will primarily focus on building out our CRM functionality and analyzing audience data to help Sofar create campaigns that inspire audiences worldwide. The role sits in our New York office with our Audience Development Director as part of Sofar’s Growth Team.

POSITION TITLE: CRM Manager

REPORTING TO: Audience Development Director

LOCATION: New York City

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understanding our audience segmentation and personas

Collect audience feedback by deploying targeted surveys to understand our users’ perception of our products and brand

Work with our analytics team using audience data to develop our behavioral segmentation

Campaign ideation / planning

Ensure audiences receive the most relevant and tailored communications

Develop user lifecycle management campaigns to target users at various stages driving activation, retention & LTV

Coordinate targeted campaign efforts across multiple channels (Paid, App, SMS, etc.)

Campaign optimization & execution

Brainstorm and test new ways to optimize the effectiveness of our campaigns, using A/B tests. Own a testing agenda to ensure we’re always learning and improving our campaigns

Work closely with our brand/creative teams to ensure brand consistency across our communications

CRM operations

Work to understand and improve email deliverability and technical capability to manage the health of our contact lists and the reputation of our domain

Collaborate with our in house engineering team to build out additional data to enhance our CRM capabilities

Sofar’s Audience Development Team is looking for an ambitious and creative team member who puts forth the drive to achieve goals and exceed them. We are looking for a well-rounded person who thinks outside of the responsibilities listed above.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Essential:

3+ years working in digital marketing, specifically in loyalty, retention, and/or referral with experience in audience segmentation

Must have experience working with a CRM system (such as: Salesforce, MailChimp/Mandrill, Hubspot, Blaze, Insightly, MyEmma etc.) running or analyzing targeted audience-facing digital campaigns

Track record of identifying, designing and executing CRM campaigns (preferably automation and/or drip) that drive user loyalty and engagement

Methodical w/ strong analytical skills, with a pedigree in testing, optimization, and data-driven insight

Outgoing and curious about people, you don’t mind digging into a customer service issue, surveying audiences or analyzing segmented email lists

Possess a strong interest in music

Preferred:

Experience working in a fast paced environment

Understanding of the existing live and recorded music industry

Preferred experience with Excel, SQL, Tableau, Survey Monkey, Typeform or other tools to collect and analyze audience data

You have channel expertise in either paid media or email marketing

Bonus if knowledgeable in HTML & CSS for responsive design in email

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
