Based in Los Angeles, we’re the nation’s largest online cannabis marketplace. We provide quick, easy, and professional access to medical marijuana delivery for people in California, and have ambitious plans to offer our services throughout the entire United States.

The other arm of our business, NuggMD, connects potential cannabis users with licensed doctors via tele-health to make getting a doctor’s recommendation for medical cannabis quick and painless.

NuggMD is the leading telemedicine platform for cannabis evaluations, has served over 100,000 people in California and New York, and will be available in more states soon.

We are seeking a full-time Content Marketing Manager to lead and manage our content marketing efforts, including strategy & direction, content creation, promotion/distribution, and more. Your direct objective will be to make content a sustainable growth channel for both Nugg & NuggMD.


This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position that will be completed remotely up to 30% of the time. Our entire team is remote but local to LA, so you must be available to work out of our Marina Del Rey office up to 3 days per week. This is an independent contractor position to start, with a 3-6 month evaluation period prior to transitioning into a salaried position.


We’re looking for a badass content marketer that knows how to lead. You need to be an outstanding writer, editor and curator who knows how to use technical platforms to find and deliver rich, brand building content.

This includes an expert understanding of SEO best practices, content creation, content curation & management, content distribution/amplification, and brand positioning that will support and advance our growth efforts.

You’ll be responsible for understanding our short and long-term goals and optimizing/adjusting our content marketing efforts to help achieve them.

Finally, you’ll help manage and grow the team that will make our content engaging and relevant to our existing and potential customers!


  • Work side-by-side our Blog Manager & CMO to refine blog content strategy, optimize content curation/creation systems for greater output and effect, as well as optimize our blog as a channel for lead-generation and customer conversions
  • Manage content distribution and amplification by publishing and promoting content through various online channels, influencers, and partnerships with other publishers
  • Measure and identify best performing content promotion/amplification strategies and optimize those strategies once discovered; you must be data & analytics driven in your approach to content
  • Manage production & publishing of content for our social media pages; you will offload this responsibility & assume a managerial role once we have systems in place for SM marketing
  • Assist our CMO in writing and editing promotional copy, guest blog posts, emails and customer service-related copy and other website materials that are in-line with our company’s tone and mission.
  • Create web content that converts browsers to customers and brand loyalists.
  • You will need a creative writing style that mixes editorial efficiency with a flair for inspiring and motivating customer action. Must stay on top of medical and recreational cannabis trends and recognize ways to keep Nugg’s content sticky and fresh.
  • Proofreading and fact checking. 100% accuracy and attention to detail a must.

  • An arsenal of words and phrases written for successful blog posts, email campaigns, and social media posts, preferably for 3+ years in a professional setting.
  • 5 years of content creation experience, with ability to integrate SEO best practices
  • Proven experience creating online content with current portfolio (web content, blogs, campaigns, social media, video, etc.)
  • 3+ years managing a content team and editorial calendar, able to stay on schedule & meet deadlines consistently
  • Comfort working in and across numerous platforms on the Web.
  • Work extremely well collaboratively; take constructive criticism.
  • Excellent managerial skills; you know how to motivate teams, identify & eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance productivity through new habits & routines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated to succeed under minimal supervision.
  • Very web-savvy and up-to-date with developing tools and methods.
  • Experience and/or passion for cannabis is preferred.
