But Taco Bell is B2C and Dinsey is tech (digital content subscription.) But good example on Volvo. I know they are rare and few. Thanks for answering!

Product Market Fit
Top funnel :
Why: without PMF you can't scale. Without retention, you throw leads in a bucket full of holes. Only when this is adequately covered you can scale on the top end of the funnel. But I understand you need to survive while you do that.
I only answer that because as CMO I learned this the hard way.
For tech US it is more dev oriented and hence the term "hacking" is well understood.
In Europe, it is not as heavy tech-oriented, and with bad connotations the term "marketing" is preferred. While the intention is the same, different people associate different things with "hacking" and "marketing". So it depends where you are and who you talk to.
May I answer this, the term "hacking" comes from US and mainly product orientated growth hacking, while growth marketing is more used in Germany and other EU countries (non-native US English) where "hacking" is not seen as the original meaning of shortcut but more in the sense of illegal breaking in.
The US scene objects to the term marketing (and so does Sean and Morgan - source: their podcast) because for them the marketing department is not in charge of full-funnel growth. Marketing is much more top funnel. Especially if Growth reports to VP Product.
This isn't the case for Europe. Here (B2B) marketing is often in charge of full-funnel outside tech.
Hope that made sense
Hello Morgan, how would you work a Saas project with a professional beauty public, that is not adept to technology and spends a lot of time on the cell phone.
Hey Morgan another set of questions. Hope you don't mind me taking this opportunity to pick your brain :D
- How does your ideal growth team look like?
Not thinking about a big company like shopify, but more like a DTC or B2C scale up that it's going to go on full-blown mode. Scaling from 20 employees to a 100 in a year.
- How different is it to have a growth leadership role (60% managing 40% executing) in an App startup compared to a DTC startup? Do you have any experience advising / working for these kind of companies?
- Would you work for a company whose mission and vision don't motivate you if that means growing more as a professional?
- I've seen that you have taken a Reforge course... How did you like it? When are you becoming a teacher there? ;-)
All the best Morgan
3 things to focus most upon?
How can a startup with limited funding do more market research and analysis to find out how its customers use the product? Especially if the product is physical and usage can’t be tracked online
Hi, Morgan. Great to have you here.
We are a team of 10 engineers and we look to build an app for ecomm owners. I wanna ask you whats next after Shopify App store? What will be the next wave (blue ocean) that we can build an app for scale?
