Hey Christoph! Thanks for your great question. Well, I think the marketer have to set up social proof on his website correctly, otherwise it would not work. And in my experience many website's are implementing social proof not in the best way or even wrong and so they loose the power of correctly implemented social proof on their website.

I have read many posts about social proof but this hit the spot! Not sure if you comment here Carsten, but what would you say to the statement that social proof is loosing it's impact now that you basically have to use social proof?
