Six months ago we bought this new domain, installed Wordpress fresh, and wrote our first post. As most of you know, we set out on a mission to hit 40,000 unique monthly visitors in 6 months. And now that the six months is up, you're probably wondering: "Well, did you guys hit the 40,000 unique monthly visitors goal?" Well to be frank, no. We didn't hit our goal. But we actually have never felt better about Grow and Convert as we do now. Why? Well, we started testing monetization and so far it's showing to be very promising. It shows that we've built trust with our audience and that we were able to attract the right people. We decided to pivot away from our original goal of 40,000 monthly uniques in 6 months because we felt like we achieved what the goal was meant to do: 1. Build an audience of marketers that trusted us 2. Prove that we knew what we were doing when it comes to content marketing Our new goal is about turning Grow and Convert into a business, and you can read all about it in this post.

AMAZING post. Pivoting is just one of those things that take a while to get to, but when it happens, it opens all new doors. You guys work well together and it's awesome to hear how you each have your other's back.

I cannot wait to hear about the updates to come!

Yeah we'll make sure to keep everyone updated on the progress of our new goal. We're already 1/3 of the way to the next goal so hopefully we won't have to pivot again anytime soon.

Great article. Good to see smart and data-driven decisions, while realizing the importance of having a singular focus towards a goal.

    Must read!

Thanks. The singular goal is what makes it easier to make tough decisions.

It keeps us aligned and on the same page.
