Everyone loves Gong in the tech world. I've been lucky to meet Udi Ledergor and ask some questions in person. I followed him in a couple of podcasts so I wanted to share my key lessons from Gong's marketing. 8 things that stood out for me: 1 - Marketing Starts With Your Values - Udi's two quotes: “Different is better than better” and “Best practices are ordinary practices". 2 – Positioning To Stand Out - Goodbye opinions, hello reality. 3 - Know Your Audience Really Well - You need to pick a niche to get raving fans. Gong didn’t focus on every sales leader in the world. They focused on tech sales leaders in North America (first). 4 - Content Marketing Team That Just Gets It - They do it through data-led content that answers key customers' questions and an actionable podcast that helps its ICP to do better in their job. 5 - Keeping it Human on Social Media - Gong's LinkedIn page takes inspiration from other social media to keep it fun and light but also addresses their personas. and the rest are in the article.
