I love taking new products for a spin to understand how they work and what they can offer me. One of the most interesting aspects of this exercise is experiencing the product’s messaging first hand. As a new user, I get to closely look at messages delivered via emails, SMS, push notifications and any other communication channel used by the product. While some of these products display fantastic product messaging strategy from the start, others fail to do so. Continued poor messaging across the product lifecycle has a very real impact on product adoption.
