This post is about the importance of Qualitative Conversion Research in the CRO process, learnt the hard way through years of trial and error. It's a step by step guide on how to get started with Qualitative Research, with examples to follow & tools to use. First time posting on Medium and on GrowthHackers :) Excited to know your comments and thoughts! Posting from Singapore - South East Asia, where I help early stage startups with their growth marketing efforts. Thanks! Matteo

Really enjoyed this writeup Matteo! Couldn't agree more on how important getting feedback from your users is. Surveys and testing are both extremely important and it is such a shame they are so often overlooked.

Thanks Matteo for such an informative article!
I love the part where you say you only really need about 5 people for the usability test. Statistics professors might shudder at the thought, but in reality you can gain all the insights that you need from just a few observations. Great read and definitely going to try and incorporate qualitative research into my work from now on .

Glad you enjoyed the article TJ. All credits for the '5 people theory' to Jakob Nielsen :)
