I remember, a few too many times, when I embarrassingly stumbled through a presentation and then kicked myself afterwards, for not being well-rounded on all aspects of implementing the idea AND for communicating badly. To fix this - I've implemented these kinds of tactics before (e.g. The Red Team), but to see this laid out strategy - from: - The Red Team - The questions you should be able to answer BEFOREHAND - To the style of the pitch ...this is good. Some of these questions, I haven't even thought about. But I'll add them to my own line of questioning. Anything that you'd like to add as a Hard 'Do' and 'Don't when someone is pitching you, or you are pitching someone else? Any experiences, the best and worst, you want to share with the group?

If more ideas were pitched using the And, But, Therefore (ABT) formula; we'd waste a lot less time listening to (and pitching) half-baked ideas or having brilliant ideas poorly communicated. In fact, as an over-communicator, I need to remember that advice myself when pitching proposals to potential clients.

YASS Tina! I know for myself, when I get excited about an idea, I need to wait 72 hours before I act on anything and calm my assets down.

THEN, I can think logically (and calmly) about how to approach presenting this idea clearly to others. Haha!

One major DO that I abide by is highlighting the key metrics based on which performance and efficacy can be measured. A pilot project will be considered for broad-spectrum execution only if there are key findings and positive metrics supporting such a decision.

Numbers also put ideas into perspective and serve as a north-star as you endeavour to move from conceptualization to execution.

What are some key findings and positive metrics that you are looking for to go forward with a decision?
