According to a study of more than 10 million web pages by web accessibility platform accessiBe, 98% of websites fail to fully pass the requirements for compliance. This has even led to the steady increase in web accessibility-related lawsuits against companies.

Unfortunately, creating feature-rich and compliant websites demands technical expertise and financial resources that small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) typically don’t have. To address this, SMBs have turned toward design agencies for their site development needs.

As such, these agencies are now the one feeling the pressure to address their clients’ needs. To achieve digital compliance, agencies must evaluate all the sites under their care and make the necessary modifications to ensure that these sites pass the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Awesome to see tools and programs helping to make web accessibility available. With so many people using the web now, especially these days with more and more people working from home, it's so necessary. Great info. Thanks for the share.

I like how this post shows you exactly with some screen shares on what need to be done for your website to be ADA compliant. It makes it clearer than some articles I have read in the past, thank you!

    Hey Erik,

I wasn't aware that Burger King was sued for allegedly not being fully accessible to people with visual impairments. In this digital age, web agencies should be more focused than ever before.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
    Have a great day!

I was surprised at the stats that the web is inaccessible to about one billion people with disabilities. Wow. That's one-seventh of the world's population! I didn't realize that so many people were affected! No wonder this issue of web accessibility is so important!
