eCommerce has always had a big problem – engagement.

The introduction of online shopping removed the one-on-one experience customers received in-store and with no one there to provide a personalized experience, make intuitive recommendations, and answer burning questions, you’re losing engagement and conversions without even realizing it.

It doesn’t matter how much money you’ve poured into making a beautiful site, or how detailed your FAQ’s are, if the customer isn’t seeing what they expect to see or getting the right answers they need to move forward in the buying process, there’s a very good chance you’ll lose them.

So, what do you do to fix this?

How do you grow your on-site engagement and conversions?

Fortunately, there are more and more eCommerce tools being developed each day to fix just this problem. These tools work mostly in the backend of your site to track customer behavior, identify problems they have, anticipate their next moves, capture their attention, and provide them with just the right messaging to get them over the conversion hurdle.

Here are 4 Tools To Help eCommerce Store Owners Boost conversions and Engagement:
1. Optimonk
2. HotJar
3. Oberlo
4. Optimove

    Very informative. Thank you, Nadav.

When it comes to choosing the right tools I recommend to, first of all, ask your self 'what do I want to achieve using this tool',
Find a way this tool can integrate with your work, make it more effective and boost it, instead of making your job suit the tool

Hey Nadav, It is a different world when it comes to shopping online HUH? So I can certainly see how implementing these eCommerce tools can boost our sales.

It is super cool to see how Hotjar’s heatmaps can help us understand what our customers needs are! And Oberlo, OMG what a time saver and I was shocked when I checked it out to find that it is FREE to get started. Thanks for sharing all these tools.

Wow, those are amazing tools to improve sales from online stores! The only one I had heard of before was Hotjar which a friend of mine uses.

They were all impressive - especially the fact that the free option of Optimonk gave you access to so many campaigns and page views, and even the paid versions were very affordable for small online e-commerce entrepreneurs. The results that Avon had experienced were impressive.

Oberlo solves the mystery of how Shopify store owners can increase their profits with innovative products and Optimove is great for assessing customer behaviour.

E-commerce stores really need to look at these tools. Thanks for sharing!

    Great work @erikemanuelli
I also recommend adding Live chat on the E-commerce site will be a great addition, and I have experienced that it increases conversion rate and engagement as well.

Very interesting. I know dropshipping is a popular business model, so I can see how Oberlo would be a huge asset to store owners.
Yes, behavior constantly changes, so it's great to continue to test things out.
Thanks for sharing this and have a great holiday weekend :)

Hi Erik, Thanks for sharing these tools. I have a few clients with retail websites now and I will be sharing these tools with them. Knowing what your customers do once they get to your website and is so important today. I especially liked Optimove.

Years ago I had a website and having the Oberlo tool would have been awesome. People like to know that what they order is available and ready to ship. So many times I had dropshippers that ran out of inventory. Customers were NOT happy when I had to inform them of backorders. This tool would be so useful!

I'm a huge fan of Oberlo. The way it helps ecompreneurs with seamless product integration is a big win for its users. I used to copy content manually from suppliers to my Shopify store and it took minutes. (Time I wish I'd spent doing something else like product or audience research).

The other tools are great too. Thank you for sharing this!

Nadav, thanks for sharing these tools. I have heard of Hotjar before, but not the others.

What really struck me as true was your sentence that said:
"Simply because one method works at optimizing engagement and conversions now, doesn’t mean it will a year from now."

You hit the nail on the head with this... and that is why it's so important to constantly try new things and implement new tools in your business!

These tools are very useful. You can track which pages are visited, use conversion funnels, recommend similar products.
But imho the most helpful (and important) tool is a chat. Sometimes shops still forget about adding it.
It really helps to both acquire new customers and you can chat with existing customers.
You can use also use some dedicated bot to provide answers (for example about a delivery time, costs of delivery) or to recommend similar products.
So i believe that shopping bots will be really game-changers in the nearest future.

Great content! You're right, these are really great software.

You should also consider customer support software like Intercom or Crisp that would help you to save a lot of time!
