Amongst the golden rules of online marketing, having a strong presence is one of the key points of staying ahead of the competition. This is essentially increasing your brand/product engagement, exposure, activeness on online mediums.

The internet provides us with ample spaces to connect with the audience/customer and engage with them. One site that’s a minefield for the same is Quora – a community fuelled question-answer based platform.

Before getting down to explain how Quora is an essential tool for marketing, let’s look at the basics of this site.

Hey, interesting post. I was just diving into quora. Kudos on the timing. Question; what is your experience with promoting your own blog post on Quora? I've also read a lot about answers being removed if it's too promotional.

In my experience, in not allowing users to promote their companies, share self-promotional links, or even a simple blog, Quora is very strict.

Man, I have stopped counting how many times my account has been blocked by these guys. It's very frustrating, but I think it's worth finding out if someone like Neil Patel who always focuses on using sites like Quora, Reddit, etc. to suck in traffic to your website.

I think the trick is to create your profile authority first by commenting on appropriate, quality content on various posts on a regular basis before starting with your own posts. In short, the trick to not getting your account blocked or post deleted is being wise.

Hey, thnx for the advice! Yeah, it might be worth a case study how Neil is actually doing this without getting blocked.

Yes! That's how the algo at Quora works.

      Quick tips:

      - Avoid adding links in all your answers. Safemark: 2/10 answers with links
      - Write about your personal experiences and in first person
      - Comment and upvote others' answers as well. In short, actively engage on the platform
      - Go for smart Quora marketing by using automation tools. This will help you to identify highly followed and asked/viewed questions
      - Be active on the platform not aggressive. Have thought time gaps between answer 1 & 2, etc.
      - Lastly, make sure you make the most of their toggle credentials feature. It increases your answer creditability.

I hope this helps you in some way :)

      Luck!

      Hi Maeva,

Kinjal has summarized it very beautifully just wanted to cover a few things. Please make sure that you put links in your Quora answers only where there is a requirement( for things you cant mention on Quora) otherwise your answers will get collapsed.

Another important point - don't hyperlink more than 2 words.

That's it for now, you can always ping me for more tips :)

If anyone has a more concrete solution to the collapsing of Quora answers, please feel free to join the discussion.

    Thanks
