Understanding the lizard brain is really important if you're writing emails

The lizard brain is the part of the brain that decides to open and read an email.

How should we stimulate the lizard brain?

Beyond responding to alarms, the lizard brain is also curious.

The lizard brain (when not sensing danger) is stimulated by the new or interesting.

This post talks about hot to keep the lizard brain stimulated from headline all the way to the end of the email.

In think the "AIDA" framework in here could apply to blog posts as well.

It absolutely should apply to your content on your site, blog posts, emails - everything. There are serious psychology things that play on our brains like this - again I refer to Cialdini's Influence and Dan Pink's Drive for other examples of how to figure out how to make people do what you want.
