Love that it's labeled "confidential"... Not anymore!
TIL: Snapchat has real time video chat
I have yet to use it successfully with my friends.
Do any of you have experience using Snapchat as a marketing channel and/or have used it to engage with users? Would love to hear about results from "Snapchat for Business"
This deck stirs up so many ways to be creative with marketing.
Brewing up ideas for B2B companies to use Snapchat for marketing...
Becoming more and more evident that life is about telling stories now. The best story tellers will win.
Great post. Anytime a social platform unveils their ad model there's always so many great opportunities. Of course, the challenge is figuring out how to use it before everyone else, but I'd definitely place some bets on SnapChat early on.
I was expecting more ideas for marketers to explore the feature sets they have. The ones that are mentioned, focuses more on one way communication from brands to their followers, which is possible on any other platform(i know the audience would be different). They can do so much i.e. start stories of their own by asking followers complete it, get clues... and many more.
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Has anyone found results for "Snapchat for Business" models? I'm quite curious if this is just a 'fun' tool for businesses, or if it actually results in growth.
Not to play the asshole here but,
the pie charts are wrong in so many ways that I don't know why they would confidently take this deck to a pitch.
What is "other" ... it's 9% of of the entire user base.
Why is close to one tenth of your user base classified as "other"
That's bullshit. It's a pie chart, segment them and classify them accordingly.
The second chart: Am I the only only one that has noticed that only three segments of a six segment chart are represented in the key?
Also, how can 10% and 2% be the same typographical representation of the same sliver of a pie chart?
Somebody, please explain that to me
Also: Our stats...
Stats of WHAT?
User base? Downloads? Referral traffic?
Am I missing something?
I feel like Charlton Heston in the Omega Man here... keep seeing this graph and I just think it sucks all over the place, but everyone keeps talking about it.
WTF Viz Agrees with me... I have been vindicated.
Wait a minute! If delete is their default then how the hell could they create stories? Oh wait a minute! They are full of shit and it's just a gimmick. Got it! Let me put my stupid hat back on.
This part is my favorite : "Conversations are ephemeral unless someone chooses to save or screenshot them. And if they do, we do our best to make the sender aware. Just like a face-to-face conversation content stays impermanent unless someone goes out of their way to record it."
