You are right, every industry is different but the mechanism remains the same.
Of course, you are not going to send 10-19 campaigns to your audience blindly, but rather reevaluate the number of emails you send because there is a portion of your audience that will respond positively to a higher number of emails they get.
Therefore, regardless of industry, one should consider experimenting with the quality of their audience through segmentation and send more emails to the division of customers who tend to buy more.
