A great deal has been written about whether in the internet age, your business should have a phone number on your website or not. On one hand, having a phone number can increase the trustworthiness of your website, help sell potential customers who aren’t comfortable buying online, and allow customers to easily contact support. The flip side? Phone support costs money. Many anecdotes support both strategies, but we should be asking, “where’s the data?”

Thanks for writing this post, Ryan. While there had been lots of branding advice around this topic, you've given a nice clear way to make a data-driven decision. Cheers!

Thanks for letting me post! And we know Peep would never let anything not data driven on CXL ;)

Ryan, this is the number one post I’ve read in 2016. You share data and quotes from top companies, you tested it yourself and rather than tell us what to do you give us the framework to test this with our own data.

    You are the man!

Thanks Luiz, I think that's a bit generous but I'm glad you found it helpful!

Great read. Peep always try to dig out something that is data driven and actionable. I like the idea to use phone number and also it should be above the fold to make it actionable.
