Great post. Makes sense too, the theme editing presumably offers a much greater sense of ownership in the product. It's a step that lets you put more skin in the game if you will. Has given me some ideas for my own app as well :)
Thanks Jason! Definitely - personalisation definitely adds emotional attachment. We're really looking forward to experimenting more with this and seeing what else we can do to make people really feel strongly about their experience during the trial.
In your second graphic (after making the changes) how many of the 884 people that added a custom theme turned into paying customers vs. the 462 people that didn't see the video?
Hey Luke, roughly the same as we measured initially - so around 10% conversion on people who had added a theme during the trial period.
