    I think an excellent customer support will always make the difference in a company's success.

    I don't like bots or automatic marketing, I love to be treated as a special customer, with a lovely human taking care of me.

    Interesting to see so many different perspectives on this.
    I'll probably remain a bit old fashioned and say that I prefer the more personal approach as compared to things like chatbots, etc. Not an AI enthusiast for many reasons...I can see this as something ONLY to perhaps save time on certain tasks.

    I am big on Lilach's advice to retain customers by creating helpful experiences for them. We've so much tech at our fingertips. Use these gifts to build bonds with clients. Be authentic. Be compassionate. putting yourself in your customer's shoes is the best way to keep 'em.

    Nice to know the expert opinion on retention marketing. As Agnes said that the customer satisfaction is the retention strategy. The businesses should focus on the clients' needs and fulfill them at the right time. Rewarding the active clients will also be trending! I don't think that the AI will be much effective because the human relationship is powerful.

    I agree with Dana on the personal touch to generate a great customer experience thus leading to customer retention.
    People are not so loyal to brands but if they receive great service they will remain loyal.
    Rewards are big too to keep people from buying from your brand:)

    Most of the entrepreneurs have mentioned the most important thing. And that's customer experience. To keep your clients happy, you should always focus on the customer service.

    It's interesting to see where others foresee this going. I, personally, would love to see more businesses add a more "personal" touch. We don't want to be just a number. We want to be valued so that our purchase means more than the almighty dollar. I appreciate you sharing this with us! Great read!

    I agree with Shayla Price - my distrust of brands has increased over recent years as we can do our own online research so much more easily. Good customer service is much more likely to keep me loyal than a brand name.

    As Derric Haynie says, chatbots have improved significantly too. Customer support by email is so slow and frustrating, particularly when the support representative can't be bothered to properly read your email and guesses your question!

    Hope these trends will spread in 2018!

    I totally agree with Lilach Bullock when she said, "Consumers want an amazing experience, and they want it to be as convenient for them as possible."

    I don't think ANYONE will disagree with that statement!

    If more companies made things EASY for their customers, they'd definitely keep those customers coming back for more!

    I think customer retention is very important in this era of competitive business where we have a lot of businesses waiting to leverage one loop hole in our customer strategy.

    I like and hope that in 2018 AI will help a lot in customer retention.
