Great tips to work from home
Great tips! Thanks for sharing
Thank you, Betty!
I liked the post and tips for working from home.
I hope you're are safe and taking all the precautions. I also wanted to thank you for sharing such a wonderful article. In fact, the conclusion part is very well justified that working remotely is all about staying disciplined and create a clear working schedule.
Very interesting topic. As a company, we moved to remote-first work in September last year and not having working hours at all. That means that by default, we were working remotely (from home, or any place in the World). We established processes to support report work, communication, reporting, and agreed on fixed time slots for daily and weekly meetings. Besides that, we kept two smaller offices for teams that like to work together, for planning meetings, meetings with clients, or for people how don't fill productive with working from home.
So, the Coronavirus pandemic moved us toward working from home completely. Some of the colleagues don't have a separate room to work from, and being around the kids or other family members during the day affects their productivity. Do you have any advice for that? I am sure other people were in the same or similar position.
Working From Home Increases Productivity, at least in my opinion!
I have a similar situation - two little kids who want to play with me all the time. I do this - I spend the first half of the day with them, and my wife does her own thing. In the afternoon we change and I work and she played with the kids. The most difficult tasks where I have to concentrate are postponed to a later time when everyone goes to bed. It's not ideal, but it's working pretty well.
I would say that working from home in IT related environment is great, as you have all that is needed (Laptop/Internet), but what about other small businesses?
