Publishing merely great content isn’t enough anymore. Lots of others are publishing great content. The challenge is differentiating your content somehow. And how do you do that? By putting it in front of exactly the right audience. Here are 11 ways to do just that with exactly ZERO dollars.

Great post! I really love the combo of content + SEO work here, both pre and post writing and publication. The two have become so inseparable for true success. This post does a great job at showing the why behind that merging. Thanks!!

Content + SEO = Peanut butter and jelly (unless, you're alergic to nuts, which is a shame).

Glad you liked it Maria. Without a doubt, being active on community sites (including Facebook groups). GH, Inbound, FB, and LinkedIn have been driving most of the traffic.

Of those you mention, I find Inbound most valuable both for the discussions and also because I do get some traffic from here when people like my answers.

Love it! A couple of other ideas:
    - Get your employees to share it through their social networks
    - Use a tool like CoPromote to boost social shares (read my review for more info: http://kcclaveria.com/2016/01/copromote-pros-and-cons/)

The employees bit is tricky. If they're in the same department as you are, then it's all good. Even then, I find not all employees want to share company related stuff. Social media is for their personal stuff.

I'll check out CoPromote. Thanks, Kelvin.

You're right. Great content is not enough, without proper marketing and social campaign, no matter how great your content is. it will go unnoticed. For my blog, i've tried social posting last week, it's quite tiring. So thanks for this wrap-up. I have some testing to do.

Great content is only half of the battle. When you say, social posting, do you mean sharing your content on your social media channels multiple times?
