Hi Tim. Very insightful post, and well written, I enjoyed reading.
I like your focus on writing content that aligns with what Ahrefs is all about. I also think your choice of topics is very smart.

Every niche has both evergreen and "hot" topics; And the smarter approach is thinking long-term and going for that elusive organic traffic (that slowly builds with time).

    For example:

In SEO people are still searching for "are meta keywords good for SEO"- And they haven't been useful for many years now.

People have a point when they say SEO is always changing..
But when they claim that most SEO knowledge is useless because it's futher uprooted by every Google update, then they are wrong.

It's like evolution. Each change builds on the former.

Very helpful read! I especially like the way you break down each section and the examples you used - especially the one with the waitbutwhy.com article on procrastination (a personal favorite of mine).

One of my favorite takeaways from this piece -- the best way to create unique, standout content is to leverage personal experience.

Seems like a great answer to the question people ask - "what is quality content"?
