For technology businesses, Product Hunt is the first platform for marketing and lead generation. Product Hunt’s reach and popularity remain unmatched. There aren’t many platforms that have the power to get sign-ups, create a spike in traffic and grab the attention of leading media publications all at once. In this article, we're going to share a workable (and legit) framework for identifying potential leads from Product Hunt. This framework contains tips, tricks, and steps we’ve learned, come across, and even figured out for ourselves -- hacks we believe in and those we’d like you to stay clear of. Lead Generation using the 'Upcoming' section on Product Hunt A product that’s yet to resonate with its audience has a limited chance of getting a sign-up. Product Hunt ‘Upcoming' eases this hurdle by providing Makers (that is, you) a showcase of sorts. In the words of Product Hunt, this platform was built to “give the community a preview of tomorrow’s next products, and 'Makers' an opportunity to build an audience and collect feedback before their public debut. ” Product Hunt’s ‘Upcoming’ platform helps new products get the initial traction by assisting them in generating leads. Each time a user subscribes to your product’s ‘Upcoming,’ Product Hunt shares their email credentials with you.

Hey, Sorry! I don't know how I missed this. Well, the tools you've mentioned look really helpful and I wasn't really aware of them. But being a guy who's starting his own website, I was more concerned about how you've delivered your message and I think it's exceptional. The way you've conveyed it would make even the generic points look great! I hope you could help me with a few tips too :)

Really comprehensive guide to using PH - I think one of the best I've read. In terms of connecting with Hunters/influencers on the platform - is it best to connect with multiple ones or just to try and work with one when doing the initial product launch?

      Thanks, Simon.

I think it is fine to reach out to two to three hunters at the same time. If someone agrees, let the other hunter know that someone else agreed. I guess it should be fine. Hope it helps.

This is amazingly helpful. So much value to be had from promoting on Product / Service discovery sites like this.

Are there any similar platforms you'd recommend implementing a similar strategy e.g. Hacker News?

      Hey Jacob.

      Thanks.

Depends on the product or vertical you are addressing. If you are addressing writers or marketers, GrowthHackers could become one such platform.

Wonderfully encapsulated. Thanks so much for sharing.

I believe that PH can be optimally leveraged to generate leads for both startups and established companies looking for an alternate channels to promote and market their products.

Totally. I think most of the tactics can apply to products/companies of any size. The only point is Product Hunt need not be looked at as a way only to promote your product launch.
