Marketing is currently undergoing a significant facelift. As traditional mediums like radio and magazine ads begin to die alongside digital strategies like banner ads, tactics such as advocacy and influencer marketing are filling the void left behind by these withering relics. In addition to the soaring popularity of these newer marketing modalities comes the meteoric rise of video content and advertising. Video is the new black.

    Hey Bren,

    I have always loved video marketing but never really engaged in it. From the last couple of years, video ads are rocking this internet world.
    To get more exposure, the visual content always adds one plus point. I don't really have any idea about the tools like Biteable but maybe I can try.

    Hey Brenda,
    These tools look really cool. I think these are also a must this coming year for all digital marketers. Not matter what network or site one is on, video is #1 for views.

    I think having an outline with the points that you want to make during your video is essential. When you're creating written content, you have to have key points to get across, and the same applies to video. So I really like the suggestion of having a script.
    I also like the idea of creating brandable images as transitions from one point to the next. Video truly is the future of the web. The only thing I need now is more time to be able to create them.

    We're so much more fortunate today to have such advanced targeting options, where we can spend so much less and have such a higher return on investment with our video ads. Television commercials and even radio commercials can be quite expensive only to be relevant to a smaller percentage of people.

    It's worth learning how to do this right. Video is great for getting people to take action, especially if it makes some sort of an emotional impact. And with today's targeting capabilities, you can start profiting from it right away and scale up just as quick.

    Hi Bren,

    Smart tips here. Video is here to stay, from creating ads, to other forms of video content, we love that graphical interface. It's eye candy. Because we read words on little screens all day long and need images and moving images to snap out of it. To snare our attention. To add a needed change up to the sometimes monotonous drag we all face in some moments. Enter video marketing.

    If you can create a professional looking video you will increase ad clicks.

    It's quite surprising to think that these days even the smallest of marketers can create their own video adverts and - if they apply the advice in this post - come up with a professional looking result.

    Personally I prefer the written word - as it's less time-consuming - but I suppose that's probably the point.... If someone has invested all that time in listening to a video advert they are more likely to buy.

    This article sets out good strategy for maximising results from the time spend creating a video advert.

    One thing I really liked about this article is the advice to simply "start making those clips"!

    All too often, we don't forge ahead with video-making because we are either camera-shy or lack confidence.

    Yet, most people admire those who have the guts to make a video and post it for all the world to see!

    So... take a deep breath, and just do it!

    (And now, I will practice what I'm preaching and put "make a video for Wording Well" on my To-Do List!)

    After all, who is going to find out about my writing and editing business if I don't promote it? ;)
