Shopify sales now exceed $7B and they've grown 10X in the last three years.  

In this article, Neil Patel breaks down how they did it - which started with finding a problem with current solutions for building an online store (poor customer service).  

Once they built a better solution, they had a relentless focus on scaling growth.  An important part of this growth was letting store owners run their store for free for the first two weeks.  After they tried Shopify for a couple of weeks it was very hard to shut their stores down.

    Good article. It's a very different style than the growth studies we do on GrowthHackers https://growthhackers.com/companies/ with lots of examples from other companies for each tactic. I think more novice growth people will get a lot of value from this. People that are more advanced might find it a bit on the light side.
