I'm 2 months into my startup and haven't yet raised a round. So, I'm aggressively renting my place out on airbnb as a means for income. In August, I made over $5,000, which covered my rent and most of my expenses.

    @gmuender - This is a great testament to what determination, hustle, and good ol' fashioned marketing hacks can do. Most important lesson I think is that you're putting service above product--a good reputation will continue to bring in the customers. Well done!

    Thx for sharing this Greg. Spent a fair time this summer traveling and relying on AirBNB for (often short notice) accommodations going from city to city.

    More than once did I think to myself how amazing this business has been in changing how we think about temporal accommodations - and that's from a guests' side.

    Hearing your story from the hosts' side has solidified it for me even more that it's a true game changer.
