In this article, I’ll share some of the shifts that I’m seeing and why I think we’ll need to rethink the way we do content promotion. Then, I’ll share some of the various channels that we’ve been testing and some of the ideas to solve the content promotion challenge moving forward.

    Very detailed article! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. A lot of points should be taken into consideration. Technologies and the way we promote products change so quickly and content is not an exception.

    I'm really glad someone is pointing this out.
    I don't talk to other content marketers as much as I should and thought that I was the only one seeing this.
    That it was just me, but I think your right.

    The days of organic traffic are coming to a snails crawl.

    Though - have you thought about pitching podcasts to get your clients some additional organic traffic?
    Would that be something they'd be into?

    You are absolutely right. Content promotion is the core part of content marketing and whatever quality of the content if the promotions are not right the expected reach will never be able to achieve. Thanks for this awesome write-up.

    nowadays, marketers also use channels like Flipboard, Mix.com, Digg.com, etc. to promote their content.

    Very well-written, descriptive, and food for thought. I agree, social networks are increasingly resembling businesses in that content promotion is built around paid promotion.
